Driving Range and Charging Time
Every Volkswagen ID.Buzz has an 86-kWh battery pack that pairs with either one or two electric motors. Vehicles with one electric motor have rear-wheel drive while vans with two motors have all-wheel drive. RWD models can cover as many as 234 miles per charge. Vans with AWD can travel up to 231 miles between charges.*
How long it takes to charge a given EV is a top concern for some motorists, especially people who cover long distances regularly. Luckily, it doesn’t take long to charge the VW ID.Buzz. If you hook up to a DC Fast Charger, the van’s battery pack will go from a 10 percent charge up to 80 percent capacity in about 30 minutes.
Active Safety Equipment
New Volkswagen EVs show off some laudable advanced safety and driver-assistive features, such as a forward collision warning and intervention system. Adaptive cruise control is standard for the VW ID.Buzz as well, and it will maintain a pre-set distance between your van and the car you’re following. Park Assist Plus with Memory Parking, a blind-spot monitor with a rear cross-traffic alert, and a lane departure warning with lane-keeping assist are standard, too.
Cabin Features
Inside the van’s cabin, you’ll find some neat amenities, beginning with a removable center console between the front seats. Adjustable armrests sit beside the front seats, with tables that fold out of their backrests for second-row travelers. Customizable ambient interior lighting lets you set the tone for your adventures.
Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity allow you to use the 12.9-inch multi-function infotainment touchscreen with a smartphone. A 10-inch digital gauge display puts critical controls at your fingertips. The van’s sound system has four speakers in the rear and five more up front to provide a concert-like listening experience.
